“She began as a lash artist and opened her first salon at 19. Now she’s disrupting the beauty industry by providing thorough training to lash artists through a comprehensive curriculum. She also assists entrepreneurs in the industry through courses designed to help them optimize their business. With her recently-launched franchise salons and an expanding retail line, she’s adamant about keeping Edmonton as the home base of her growing empire. She’s the owner and CEO of Sugarlash PRO.
She is Courtney Buhler.”
With those stirring words delivered by Edmonton Global TV reporter Emily Murtz, our fearless founder and CEO Courtney Buhler walked the stage to accept her recognition as one of the Top 40 Under 40 movers and shakers of 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta.
This week, Edmonton’s Avenue Magazine formally recognized the young professionals that made their highly-anticipated annual Top 40 Under 40 list of changemakers who help put Edmonton on the map, whether through their volunteerism, artistry, or business acumen. With Sugarlash PRO’s exponential growth over the last five years, and her impact on both the lash industry and the Edmonton entrepreneurship landscape, there were no surprises here that Courtney made it onto the list as a business leader.
With a fab gala held at Edmonton’s Winspear Centre, the Sugarlash PRO team sipped champagne, scarfed down some delicious hors-d'oeuvres and cheered on our girl as Courtney accepted her place on top.
We’ve always known that our boss was a visionary and a force to be reckoned with, but we couldn’t be more thrilled that the wider Edmonton community is now seeing it too. To read the full article, and to see the full list of recipients, visit Avenue Edmonton.
